    New Rear End

136K miles on my 02 and started getting some grinding noise from the rear. Took to local shop that does my inspections and they tell me $2500 to replace rear diff, wheel bearings, etc. After reading some posts on the site, I went to local specialist and I'm looking @ $1200 with parts from a...

    Driver's side lock broken

My drivers side door won't lock when I use the power lock feature. I have to manually push it down for it to lock. However, it will unlock. Any suggestions to my problem. I've taken the door panel off and felt around...sprayed WD-40 all over the place and nothing. Thanks.

    Photoshop request

Is it possible for someone to take the picture below and change the bluish-themed colors to red. If it's not possible...no big deal. Just looking to change up the colors if possible. [Broken External Image]:

    Baltimore Bachelor Party & Golfing

Anyone have any recommendations for golfing around Baltimore? My little brother is having a bachelor party in mid-April and I want to organize a round of golf. We're not looking for anything too fancy or any dirt tracks. Middle of the road $40-75 round would be nice. For the bachelor...

    X-plan

I have a friend that totaled his explorer sport and is looking to get a new Mustang V6. Is there anyway for anyone to get him on an x-plan? MSRP is $23,205. Total cost to him would be financing $23,706. He does their computer networking stuff so I know he's not getting ripped off but wanted...

    Northeast or Outer Banks Timeshare

I need some advice. I acquired a timeshare for this year. My family has decided to stay local (within a five hour drive) of SE PA. I figure with this range I can go to the Pocono Mountains, the Catskills, NJ and MD Beaches and northern parts of Virginia. I have two kids (3 and 4) and will...

Hitch for ST and Mazda 3

My wife wants a bike rack for the Mazda 3 and for the ST. I went to etrailer.com to find what is available and wanted to see if anyone could help. The ST, according to the site says the hidden hitch will have a 2" hitch opening. The Mazda 3 has a 1 1/4" opening. The bike racks that slide...

    Burn outs

I'm in need of a new set of tires and want to light em up before I get the new ones (I have never done this in my ST before). This may sound uneducated (or stupid; I know...there are no stupid questions) but how do you do a burnout with an automatic vehicle. I'm assuming it's just a brake/gas...

    Tonneau cover hardware

I just picked up a used OEM Tonneau cover (it came off a totaled ST). I think I'm missing the latching hardware. Can anyone help me figure out how to get this? The cover is in great shape and only paid $325. Right now...it's just locked in the middle but there's no where for the front and...

    Anyone thirsty?

I just got back from a week in the Poconos Mountains (I was a volunteer counselor for a group of 7 year old boys who had or have cancer). Some interesting things that happened during this week: testing the load capability of the ST. Who knew water and soda could be so heavy? [Broken...

Zidane incident viewed by different countries

I thought this was worth posting. Even if you don't care for soccer (many here fall into that category; I am not one of those) it's still a funny group of pictures. These are animated pictures of the Zidane incident and how several different countries viewed this. BTW - is this incident...

    Volunteers Needed - camp counselors

For the past 6 years, I have volunteered as a camp counselor for a week during August in Greeley, PA (Poconos Mountains; 15 minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack) for kids who have or had cancer and their siblings. This year, the camp dates will be August 12th-19th. The camp is divided into a junior...

I don't need no stinkin' EE sway bar

So, I'm on my way to work today doing about 40-45mph. I'm about 20-25 yards from an intesection that traffic on the road we are on, does not have to stop. A Honda (LX?) is coming in the opposite direction from me and wants to make a left turn across our lane and stops in the road (as she was...

    I'm fighting a ticket

I got a citation yesterday after work for doing a "California roll" at a stop sign (I'm from PA). Just like Andy Dufresne from the Shawshank Redemption, "Everybody's innocent in here." and so am I. Here's the quick story. I was traveling in a small city with stop signs at about every...

Off topic - Electric Meter Board

My electric company (PECO in PA) comes out the other day and says I have a corrosive electric meter board that needs to be replaced. I think I have heard that it is my responsibility to get a certified electician to install a new one. Anyone know anything about this? How much do you think it...

    Fords made in US

Does anyone know how much of Ford's vehicles are made in the US? I'm talking parts and assembly. I'm in a strategic technology grad class and the topic came up...and wanted to educate a few that have been talking about it.

    Changing Insurance Company?

I just received my AllState quote for the year and the increase was only about $50 more than the last six months. However, after being with them for over two years (auto and homeowners), I decided to check around. I worked through an insurance agency that got me a quote from Peerless Insurance...

    Spark plugs and wires changed

Wow! I finished changing my plugs and wires. That was not a fun task. I ended up with both wheels off and scratched up hands/knuckles. I slammed my pinky on the first plug. Ouch! So, of course I hit it 50 more times while changing the others. Changing the wires is a piece of cake. It's...

I got a package - Taylor Spark Plugs

Wife called to tell me I got a package. She said, "I don't think it's the battery tester you ordered". I said, "I know...it's my Taylor spark plug wires". Needless to say, my "extended because no one's in the office today" lunch break included a trip to Ford to pick up some motocraft plugs...
