Driving along and then nothin' .....

My daughter was driving out to main campus and after about 20 minutes on the road the Trac just died. While she was driving ... foot on the gas and nothing ... When she tried to start it nothing. Well $160 to flatbed it to the garage and the mechanic goes to start it the next morning and ...

    Driver's window fell off track....

Last week, while plowing my driveway, I went to roll down the window. There was a little resistance because it was cold out and there was some ice buildup. I didn't force the issue and waited until things defrosted a bit. I tried again later...gave it a shot and voila, right off the track and...

    Snowplow

I use a Western Suburbanite. Truck works great with the plow. I only plow my own drive and the neighbors, each one is double wide and 100 feet long. Check my folder for pics.

    snow plow

I have a Western "personal" plow on the ST. Works great. I only plow my drive with it...any more than that would be too much for the ST. Check my library for pics.

    OE Tonneau cover cable broken...

The cable that attaches to the center lock on the OE tonneau cover snapped yesterday. One side is still attached but the other is broken away from the part that attaches to the bottom of the lock so, the lock just won't work. I am planning to get to the dealer later today to order the parts...

    New Computer. Windows Vista question???

Funny, I use both a PC and a Mac daily too. I'm not biased either, but I'll still always side with a Mac anyday.

    Changed the spark plugs

Speaking of access through the wheel wells....Is there suppose to be a flap that covers the engine compartment down there? We washed the truck last weekend and for the first time I noticed I could see the engine from inside the well. There looks like there are holes in the well to accept...

It's beginning to look a lot like...

The Trac is doing just fine plowing my drive this winter...especially with this storm. As long as we plow with the storm I think we won't push the trac too hard. I had my doubts about the Trac's ability to plow, but not anymore.

    AC Clutch

I found it annoying as well. All the cars I own do it when in the defrost mode, but the Sport Trac's was unusually often. I asked my mechanic to address the problem. He said it just needed a little recharge. It was only about $20 and it cured the problem. It still cycles but nowhere nearly...

OT: Good eats or just me?

Peanut butter on a hamburger is great. No other condiments...just peanut butter. Grape juice with bacon strips is great too!

    Dealing on H3 tomorrow...need help

I posted this on the Hummer forum, I'm not getting a lot of response....I have a 04 Sport Trac and visit here daily. I enjoy the forum and things seem a little more friendly here. So...... I stopped in earlier this week to see the H3 and to ask a few questions. Made arrangements to take my...

    WATCH GLENN BECK Wed. night

Oh yeah...the minute anyone agrees with the host/television program it becomes FACT not OPINION. Where were you when I started my career 30 years ago? You would have saved me so much angst wondering whether or not I was presenting information properly.

    Snow plow going on soon...

I'll be putting on my Western Suburbanite plow for the winter shortly. The plow weighs about 270 lbs. When the plow is not on there are only brackets on the truck...no hydraulics. I've been reading here on the site about shocks and wondering whether I should change them now. 37,000 miles...
