I have a fob left from the 2002 Sport Trac I used to have. I programmed it to work on my 2011 F150 AND also to a Company owned 2009 Explorer where I work.

James W. Check the link. I've put a little over seven thousand miles on my trac since the VB replacement.

Mine died 7000 :banana: miles ago. I put an ebay valve body in it for less than $200.00 and it's still shifting great. Pulls the boat well too. Easy, inexpensive job. I hope this helps someone. See link.

Just an update. 600+ miles on the 'new' valve body and the trans is still shifting perfectly. :banana: :driving:

My '02 4x4 loses/burns no oil between changes. 105K miles. :driving:

Eddie, Sorry, no I didn't. BUT if you watch the youtube video linked in the first post, it's almost exactly what I did. I say almost because my trans had/has a bonded gasket between the valve body and the trans instead of a separate gasket on each side of the separator plate. Other than...

Thanks Todd. I think I will. I was hesitant about doing anything more than pan/filter to the trans until I watched the youtube video. Changing the valve body isn't much more difficult than dropping the pan. You just have to pay attention to the different bolt lengths. No biggie. :banana:
