Hey,
Just for the fun of it... How much oilk does you Trac burn? I have a 2001 with 86,000 miles and do not burn a drop. Run both dino and mobile one over the years.
My neighbor has a 2007 that has only seen Mobile one for 130,000 miles. No oil used.
Come to think of it, the last car I had that needed make up oil between oil changes was a 69 mustang with a 302. By the time I gor rid of it with 140,000 miles in 2003 (oh for the days of sub $2/gallon gas), it used 1 quart of straight 40 weight per tank of gas (had a case of pep boys house brand in the trunk). If it sat for more than 48 hours the crank would slam around in the journals until pressure built. Make a heck of a racket. I used to have to go unhook the coil wire and crank to build pressure before I dared fire it up. I got it with 75,000 miles., and changed the oil/filter at 3,000 with dino and FL1A.
My 82 ranger w/ 2.3L started burning a quart evert tank at about 40,000 ; then suddenly stopped at 60,000 ish. traded in on 1992 ranger.
My wifes 1994 escort never burned a drop - sold at 180,000.
Mom's 1992 Taurus wagon sold at 76,000- never burned a drop.
My 1992 Ranger never burned a drop over 130,000.
