    Wipers Intermittant

Update.... The problem went away. Didn't do anything with a wrench. Checked the fuses and all that was good. Repositioned the tilt wheel and nothing changed. But, we were having snow and it had to keep messing with the switch to keep the windshield clear. It stopped and I thought it had...

    Wipers Intermittant

I went back out and tried the wipers again. They will run in either normal or fast modes, and if using the washer function. But, when you twist the stalk from on through that intermittent zone, they immediately stop where they are (roughly, see next comment). They won't park. In any...

    Wipers Intermittant

Today, I needed the wipers and they only half work. Washer function with three wipes = OK On in the fast speed = OK On in the normal speed or any of the delay settings, they stop mid sweep. Any ideas? I figured with wipers it was all or nothing... guess I'm wrong.

    200,000 mile ST

I topped 200,000 miles in 2002 ST back in March... today it clicked over 205,000. I have to say this is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Never left me stranded. Second motor (first was replaced under warranty) and original tranny (never rebuilt, although at 175k I did put a...

    Sunroof problem

Thanks everyone. I've been stopping by my favorite junk yard every couple of days. they got in a Mountaineer with the same clips and I snagged the bits from it. $20 sure beats the FMC price. I just can't believe a cheap little piece of plastic isn't available as a replacement part...

    Sunroof problem

I had one of the plastic tabs break that helps lower the wind deflector as the sun roof closes. Went to my local dealer today, they don't sell the plastic clip/tab thingy. BUT, I can buy the whole deflector unit for $233. Nuts! Anyone had these break before and know of a better way...

    Tow Receiver

Looks pretty cool. We used something similar on our farm pickups in the 1970's to dampen the trailers being towed. http://www.sparebumper.com/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=5

Today, Wisconsin's Governor will sign SB93 to create a Concealed Carry Permit System in the state. Excellent joke of the day! :supercool:

    Nut Splitter Failure

+1 for the Dremel tool, after I bought one, I've found more uses for it than I care to count. It's handy.

12 concept cars headed for showrooms

I had a Fiat Spider 2000 and it was a blast. A convertible version of that Alpha/Fiat could be really interesting.

50 mpg? Ford bringing three-cylinder engines to U.S.

I remember the original Fiesta RS from the 1980's with it's 1.8L Turbo four banger. With the manual tranny, it was a blast to drive and it's 100hp made it stiff competition for the VW GTI which was heavier.

Ditto to the Rampage looking better and it looks like a truck. That first "thing" looks like a bad clone to make a four door Ranchero.

    Rebuilding Front End

Well, the Trac told me it's time to get this project started. The left tie rod end broke without warning this morning as I'm about to get on the freeway. :fire: Entered the sweeping turn to accel and get on the freeway, there was a loud pop and suddenly the left front starts shaking...
