Caymen, Ford does have a 3 year (I believe) rust through warranty. BTW The quality of chrome plating is a specific characteristic of a tool. Obviously, Lost, stolen or dirty is not. If you bring in a dirty tools, they could just clean it as a repair rather than a replacement. Oviously the latter is a far stretch, but I don't think rust is. I've have never seen a Snap-on socket rust.
