    Wheel Bearing Question

    Marsha, FYI: my son has had to replace both sides on his '05 ST XLT 4x4 and the right side twice @ $375 each time @ our local repair shop. @ between 95-97k miles for the 1st replacements, then @ 179k miles replacing the right side again.

    Uncle Bob just to give you a ballpark idea of what you're looking @ cost wise if you pay to have a shop do it. For upper & lower thermostat assembly, thermostat, O ring & gasket on my son's '05 ST it was $364.15 and for the exact same repair on my '01 ST is was $339.44 @ a local repair shop...

    Radiator replacement...

    My son & I have bought replacement radiators from Radiators Plus A/C for our '01 & '05 Sport Tracs. For my '01 it was part # 2309 for $138.03 on 5/15/12 w/2 yr. warranty. The one or two inch option has to do w/the tray width [top/bottom] that the OEM sits in. BTW: my local Frod dealer...

    Just my opinion and everybody's got one, but from many previous experiences ...'93 Explorer Sport, '01 ST, '05 ST and w/getting over 100k miles on some sets that's the tire for me and my ST family.

    Steve, my '10 V6 STA did the same thing on our 1st trip out of town w/3,795 miles on it, it was the A/C vacuum valve.

    Ron, just know when you get through you saved some money. Take it from our experience, my '01 $339 & our son's '05 $364.
