so if i were to burn out in in my mustang both tires would spin, but when i go around a corner the diff would unlock allowing the rear end to turn at different speeds. im not looking for the rear to always be locked, just when one tire looses traction.

take a stick like a broken broom handle or something similar and place on end on each pulley at a time while the engine is running and hold the other end in you fist against your ear. you will hear which one is making the noise ;)

im guessing the old guy with the clock used about 23 cans of WD when one or two would have got the job done.:D

Raym2, the threads on the old plugs were rusty but were not damaged.

yes the plug went in 1/2 way and stopped, and i got to it through the wheel well but didnt take it apart, i can try again tomorrow. The plug did come out hard, probably a little harder than the others. I could tell they were the original plugs. Todd, are you saying that the threaded steel insert...

So i attempted to change my pugs today. i got the drivers side in which was difficult at best but on the pass side i could not get the rear plug at all and the middle one is concerning me. i could only get it in about 1/2 way then it would not thread any more. im taking it into a shop on monday...

did you lube the caliper slide pins when installing?
