So it sounds like even though the plant was running well and there was a demand for the product, the company really wanted to close that plant.



There must have been other compelling reasons why they wanted to do that, reasons that might have been good for business.



It sounds like I don't know all the facts.

Nobody knows all the facts. It has been a good number of years ago. After this all happened, Bridgestone/Firestone did get their wish. Because of the Explorer fiasco, the plant did shut down. (runing off of memory)
