Here is one of the things that made my day..along with a few others. Someone tried to cross a two lane highway from a median in front me and didn't make it  It's only the front facia, no sheet metal damage, it drives fine, no pulling. The only thing that concerns me is that the door gap on the bottom of the front passenger door is a little wider at the bottom than the top. No one hurt...just my feelings... :(

I'm terrified of the repair estimate. Mine was $950ish for a rear bumper cover and paint.

I know my deductable is $1000. USAA said I could get it fixed and wait for the investigation to end. Then they'd reimburse me for the deductable after thier insurance pays.

My repair estimate for my rear bumper cover and paint a few months ago was just shy of $1,000. The other party's insurance company negotiated with the shop to get it down to about $760.

mine was 2400 for the front bumper cover and paint. someone pulled out in front of me I was going 5-7 (yeah slow!) and could not stop.

Same here, they were hauling.

I'm also worried about those fenders.

Me too. No paint damage at all to them, the passenger side got racked a little.

man yall got nothing on me haha

i did the damage myself :p

on the way home from the mall i decided my truck was made to mud bog!

let me tell you that it can hold its own but is definately not made to bog

so i went in between a ditch bank and a fence down this path i know

xcept it mustve rained a lil more than i thought cuz i hit a few puddles then at 30 mph the wipers cleaned the windshield and revealed a pond frame deep 20 yds ahead of me!

so i figured the best was out was through it cuz there was definately not enough time to stop

so i gunned it, hit the water like a wall and everything in the car went flyin foward

i had the pedal in the floor, the engine was roaring the mud was everywhere!

the canal was on the left and i sure didnt wanna take a dive so i stayed a lil right

the speedometer said 25 mph but i looked out the drivers window cuz i couldnt even see out the front winsheild even w/ the wipers goin

there was no way i was goin over 5 miles an hour!

so i think im out when next thing i know CRASH!!!

I hit the guide wire for a power pole!

not just any power pole, the one that supplied power to 1/4 of the town according to the IID guys that showed up later

needless to say i drew a crowd, from the cops and firefighters to the IID guys and lookey loos

ppl even came out of their powerless homes to try and see wat happened

I was instantly popular  in a bad way

I have yet to recieve the bill from the electric company but i was estimated between $3,000 - $10,000!!!!

Glad your ok. I was rear ended the first time, cost was $7200 most all in labor and verifying everything was within spec and frame was ok. Make sure the shop you take it to does work with your insurance company. My adjuster contacted me and we both went over my trac with a fine tooth comb. My trac was paid for which makes a big difference. I'm going to guess around the 3000-3500 dollar range.

Yeah they still havent called so...maybe my "connections" got me out of it :D

I got family in the local PD and other family that knows the claims guy for the electric company so Im prayin!!!
