Transmission pans

I have a 2005 Sport Trac Adrenalin. I have been wanting to change the fluid and filter in my automatic transmission. When I look up the parts it ask me if I have a shallow or deep pan. I am not sure because it kind of looks shallow, but there is a portion in the middle that does stick down like a deep pan. Any help on which it is would help. Thanks, Mike

i believe if u have a 2wd its a shallow pan if its 4wd its a deep pan. im looking for a 4wd pan to put on my 2wd right now so i can have more fluid and a cooler running tranny

Chris is correct.....



Just if you upgrade to the 4wd pan you MUST use the 4wd filter..

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that it was 4 wheel drive. Thanks guys for the help.:banana:

Mike if your have a 4wd already then your only choice is the PML pan..... it holds more QTS then the oem 4wd pan
