Soft Spot on Roof

When I was washing and waxing my truck today I noticed on my roof near the back of the truck about an inch from the side bars there was a soft spot in the roof. Its on both sides and I could actually push it down with my finger, once I did that I stopped so I didn't damage the paint. Its smaller than a dime size and seems to be where a few pieces of the truck come together. Is this normal? and has anyone else seen this before?

I believe you found the trim piece next to the roof racks ??? IF so they are only held there by tape i believe or the roof racks....



IF it is the metal, then it is another issue I don't know of..

my 91 Sport had the same thing. It occured where the four door section should have started on my 2 door
