In between owning my first and second ST, I had a Chevy Avalanche. If you seen one on the road, you know they're plagued with fading plastic cladding. Which is unfortunate, since so much of that truck is plastic cladding.
One popular solution that worked for me was to apply a product called "Refinish Restorer." It's currently produced by a company called CarWorx (formerly by Car Systems). My "new" ST had uneven fading on the rear bumper and the plastic trim below the windshield. I applied my left over Refinish Restorer with pretty good results. It looks and smells like a wood stain. I apply it with a paint brush. It's sticky for a few hours but it lasts for months.
