Well finally got a failure after 32K!

CEL

purchased a code reader so I could check the Trac and other cars..

Trac Tripped on ODBII DTC code P0402, reset it and it came back next drive out.

Picked up a new DPFE sensor and that fixed it! $35.00 thanks to this forum, did not even have to use the extended warranty..

The ODBI code coming from our 94 Explorer is indicating the same problem, the part should be here this afternoon,

Cool, At least it is fixed and ready to rock and roll....:cool:

Finally recieved the ERG sensor for or 94 Explorer 4x4 that was also throwing a code and had a sever pinging occasionally on hills.

Changed out the sensor and NO pings!!

also no code being thrown either...

it is worth investing in a good code reader!

Further update..

Wife is VERY happy with a responsive behaving explorer!!!

Hmmmm. What do I NEED.....for the truck :)

I have also noticed the the ST is shifting MUCH better than before, I thought I was getting the 2-3 flare issue! for along time. the EGR sensor(dpfe) could have been bad (or going) along time without throwing a code or CEL.

I am wondering if others that have experienced a Tranny flair are actually have dpfe problems influencing the computer.
