Sammamish,
My check engine light came on this weekend and told me that p306 engine misfire in cylinder six. I was wondering if any one else had gotten this code before and what they did to fix it. I already cleaned my injectors with some fuel cleaner.

My guess was its either plugs or wires. Both of which i was going to change tomorrow.

Truck is a 2002 4x4

82,000 miles

drive it pretty hard.

You guessed correctly. Plugs and wires would be the proper fix. A misfire is usually caused by worn out plugs and/or wires.

If your injectors are clogged, you would get a lean condition or an injector error.

Please do not use anything but Motorcraft Spark Plugs. No Bosch, No NGK, no Split Fire.

Motorcraft.

You can have 1 bad or weak injector on just that cylinder......

Plugs, wires, and filters first before any thing else..
