Picked up an 02 St, everything but 4x4, downside is that it has blown head gaskets so it looks like I'll be yanking the engine and redoing the heads and putting all new chains on it while I'm at it, don't plan on keeping it though, as soon as it's done gonna sell it...after I drive it for a bit

Well when I do my motor I know who to fly here to help !!! :)

It's got 160,000 on it and appears to be very well cared for. The heads aren't really that hard of a job as long as you have the tooling to set up the timing on it and I have access to a Ford master timing set so no worries there.

Finally got some time at work today to start putting the engine back together. For 160,000 miles the pistons had basically no carbon on them and the back side of the intake valves were spotless. I had the heads resurfaced and put all new timing chains, guides and tensioners in. With a little luck I should have it all back together and running come the weekend.
