i have a ford tonneau cover on the back of my 04 st adrenalin. last week the lock on the cover stopped working and i was wondering where i could find a new lock for it. any ideas please let me know. thanks!

The lock itself is not broken. What is broken is a small plastic part of the release.cable pull mechanism that is attached to the bottom of the lock cylinder where the cables attached to the bottom of the key lock.

The only solution is to replace the entire cable assembly, which icludes both cables and the release/cable pull mechanizm that fits on the bottom of the lock cylinder. Ford does not sell the individual parts, so you have to buy either a front or rear cable assembly. I understand that they cost about $50 for the whole unit.

I had the child safety lock causing the locks to bind. I removed the pull and everything started working again. I did notice the cables were rusty.
