How can I tell if my a/c clutch is going bad? I have a lot of red dust around the AC pulley that appears to be coming from the front face of the pulley not spinning freely. I was quoted to have it replaced for $400, but a second opinion told me that if there is no noise and everything appears to be working well, don't bother with the repair. It's a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks.

Leave it alone..... Mine does the same thing
