I'm having trouble with my 4WD actuator sticking in the cold weather. I thought there was a post at one time that outlined the replacement process? Is it a simple swap or are there any adjustments to be made during install? I want to start by removing the motor and giving it a clean/lube before a purchase. Thanks! This site ROCKS!!

Are you speaking of the actuator motor on the transfer case? If so, VERY easy swap. I believe it was 3 bolts and the wire harness. Be sure the wire harness connector is very securely fastened to keep moisture out.

If the transfer case is stuck in 4HI or 4LO, then you will need to connect the new motor harness before installing it to the case, and move your switch to the position the old motor was stuck in. (This way the pin would line up)

I did mine in under 10 minutes. (Just needed a 1/4 inch metric socket set and ratchet)

Hope this helps.
