Well I am finally hitting a milage milestone in the Sport trac... 30,000 miles

I looked up the maintenace schedule for my ST at the ford

http://www.genuineservice.com/genuineservice/en/QCMSchedule website

it does not mention flushing the tranny?

But I have seen confliting requirments for this service..

WHAT are the REQUIRED services for a 30K in the eyes of ford for an extended warranty?

and who can do them?

They say inspect tranny fluid at 30 and if you look further around 45 or 60K they should say to replace...

I say do it now, Dont wait...

There could be a slot for a cabin air filter, Ford fills it for the overseas exports, at least that was the case for my focus. I had a carbon hepa, Purolator, that I purchased for 10 bucks online. I sure miss that clean air.

I just did the 30K service on my 05 a couple of weeks ago. My air filter had been changed at the previous oil change because it was so dirty. So, I didn't need another one of those and I just had the fuel filter changed and the transmission fluid flushed.

In my 2000 Explorer, I always changed the coolant every 30K as well, but the owners manual for the ST says 5 years or 50K so I didn't worry about that.
