Is the engine in your 2001 a 4.0 SOHC? I should have clarified my post and said 4.0 SOHC. I guess there is two different 4.0's available on ST's, at least that's what I've been told.

What motor did you go with? 4.0 SOCH or another? What was the original motor?

I haven't tried it because my bed is in great condition but I imagine if you cleaned it with Final wash like you would metal then primed it with a plastic parts primer with a flex agent (like you would a bumper cover) then paint it with a good quality bed liner. I think it would work fine.

Well I've just got to stop looking under this truck. 1st it was the shocks then it was the shackles now it's the rear axel seal. The fun just never ends. I've ordered both seals and a gasket and hopefully after this is done I won't find anything else to fix. :banana:

I bought the horizontal bars from Amazon and they are aluminum and very light.

At almost another 100K miles since the new trans was installed I would think you should get the trans service done and while there have them check it out, it could be just needing a service and nothing serious.

I purchased the horizontal bars to attach to the existing vertical bars on my 05 ST and was wondering if there are any concerns using them to carry two kayaks. Together both weigh considerably less then 100lbs.

Yes I did some more research and it's the switch on the master cylinder. I found a Ford part on AMAZON for 37.00 and it's been ordered. Thanks for your help and impute.

It just stopped working. When I try to engage the cruise control the little indicator light blinks but the cruise control never engages. Anybody out there have any ideas?
