Can you recon a STA truck bed and how?

Hello Guys,



I'm finding STA's all over the USA, but most with beds that have seen better days and I'm looking for one that is very clean and or can a bed be reconditioned to look like new with a rubber type coating, anyone try anything?



Any ideas and or photos would be very helpful and thanks.

I haven't tried it because my bed is in great condition but I imagine if you cleaned it with Final wash like you would metal then primed it with a plastic parts primer with a flex agent (like you would a bumper cover) then paint it with a good quality bed liner. I think it would work fine.
