Yeah Vic Im having her towed to a shop today, hopefully I wont have to do a full rebuild. So what should my fluid change interval be?

BUt since that code said 5th gear slipped doesn't that mean that a rebuild is needed soon before it crap-cans itself?

fluid was actually high when I checked it. 160Kmiles, I was always told on tranny to leave it be on the fluid. The fluid when I check it a while ago was still clearish and not gunky at all.

Just got back from transmission place and got codes read, 5th gear ratio wrong, so means she is chewing gears and needs a rebuild. Quoted me $1460+tax.....oh boy

Update. Just went back out after leaving her for an hour and now the light is off....do I need to run and trade her immediately lol??

As message title says I got in for work this morning and O/D OFF light is blinking, shes shifting hard, and wont go into top gear. I searched posts and couldn't find anything. Interweb says could be shift solenoid, or unhook battery for 10min, or loose grounds, etc etc..... Anyone???

Should I just replace the inner and outer bearings since ill have it back apart?

So I did the rotors on Saturday and thought I had some grease but didnt sooooo I stole the grease from the old rotors (was in pretty good condition, no chunks or burnt grease). Should I be okay or should I take it back apart and clean the bearings and use new grease??

Todd, it looks like its further back from that. There is a hose behind there (I have no clue where it goes) where I saw seepage while under pressure. I cant take a pic cause I am toolless at work to take off the cover to get at it. Is there a good engine diagram somewhere I could look at?
