If you want to take serious pics, buy a camera body & the lens seperate. Kit lenses are usually bottom of the rung. I know, last April I bought a Nikon D70s camera with an 18-70mm lens (an okay lens) and a 70-300mm lens (junk). Christmas the old fat man brought a Nikon D200 camera body...
