Texas. It sat for a year but I went out and started it from time to time.

My wire/cord that holds my spare tire up under the truck is flattened. The mechanic says I need to replace the entire assembly. He siad I'm looking at $350 maybe. Is this correct or can I get a new one cheaper and do it myself? Any help appreciated. Thanks and God Bless.
I drive my Sport Trac rarely as I usually drive my company van. I drove to Wal Mart and decided to lower the back window a bit. When I got home I tried to raise it and it wouldn't go up. I turned the knob to see if down still worked and of course it went down all the way. Now I can't get it up...

For some reason the rear passenger side window comes off-track when I lower and try to raise it. I also noticed that the door cannot be opened from the inside. It never used to do that and now it does. Anyone have any idea why?
