Will our OEM radio fit a 1997 Explorer?

Does anyone know if our OEM single cd am/fm radio fit into a 1997 Explorer? Connectors, opening, etc...



Part number is 1L2F-18C868-GA if it helps.

The install kits on Ebay , most say 95-2005 Explorer.... My guess is it will....

I would go to crutchfield.com and look up each truck kit and see if it is the same..

According to what I have read. They changed the plug style in mid 98.Here is a web sight that sell the plug adapter,depending on if you had the premium sound or not.I hope that this helps._Ron
