Will not go into 4wd low anymore

Got stuck in the snow last week and tried 4wd low. Will not go in. Can hear click when selecting 4wd high, and all wheels churn. (got me out) The high light stays on when low is selected. If there is supposed to be a relay click as when going from 2wd to 4wd high, it does not happen.



Anyone got a suggestion?

Are you completely stopped, Transmission in neutral, foot on the brake?

Absolutly. Low light never comes on.

Don't know. I'd start with fuses and relays, wiring at the transfer case, then the dreaded 4WD module...?

Moddule or sticking solenoid motor.

I guess it seems that I am less than smart. Darn thing hates to come out of park if you STEP on the brake. Brake lightly, and it comes out of park easily every time. I had my foot on brake, but was not STEPPING on the brake hard enough. Step HARD and it goes into low 4wd every time.



Easy on the brake to get out of park, hard on the brake to go into 4wd low.

Just curious, Does the 4WD Low sense the brake is applied thru the brake light switch, or is there a separate switch?
