Accidently hit the 4x4 button. Noticed a strange noise (almost like power steering pump) as i turned left and then right and then a slight left as I pulled into a parking spot. That's when I saw the 4x4 light on the dash.

I am going to assume I didn't do too much damage driving it straight and then a low speed left/low speed right and slight left into a parking space...

It seems fine.

No, You just locked the 4x4 in and were binding the drive train....

as long as you did not hear a Crack, or snap or were dragging any metal parts on the ground your fine...

LOL

No snap, crackel or POP!

There is an advantage to my old Jeep. To lock it in 4x4 you have to put it in N, you have to be going no faster than 2mph (but moving), you have to yank a lever, you have to get out and lock the hubs. I have never accidently put it in 4x4 on the road....
