Okay, so I have decided to purchase a programmer but I'm not sure which on to buy. Looking for the best tune for towing. Not necassarily wanting to have to buy 93 octane. Locally have 87, 89, and 93 available. What are my best options? Any help is appreciated

I have an SCT with three other than stock programs Mild, Medium, & Aggressive. All are for 87 octane. I use the stock program when it goes to the dealer for service.

I understand that I can "klik" on the site sponsors but didn't want to waste a working man's time by asking so many questions. I was kinda looking for some opinions from people that have already purchased a product.

Get an 87 performance tune for the mods you have and firm the tranny and stuff...

That would be the best thing you could do..

If you want to direct a set of questions to me I can answer anything you need to know. I have been out here for awhile building ST Tunes these forum members can attest to.

I have a tuner from Both Torrie and Doug.

One for the Sport Trac and on for my Focus.

Both work great.

I like the 93 tune for the Sport Trac.

the response to the pedel just seems more responsive. And I get the feeling of better MPG per tank then the stock tune.

Torrie's new Tunes were great. the 87 and 93 sune for my St gave me about the same MPG but I liked the response from the 93 tune better.

with the new 93 tune from torrie I get about 300 + miles per tank compared to 200 to 250 on the stock tune.

I do not drive a alot of highway more street and stop and go Highway.

I do 350 to 380 per tank when I travel on longer trips

Mods:

1: Zabteck Throttle body (fully modded Job 1)

2: Volant intake

Hope this helps a little.

Good point raym2. Either way we can build files to suit your specific octane level regardless what you want to run.
