But this Malibu was before the takeover, so it isn't bad.



I agree to keep it--abuse the malibu with work gear and tedious commute. Even though that malibu looks so much better than the '99 that I had to drive for a road trip, it's still a hunk of junk. Run it into the ground--my buddy has a hatchback late 2000s (05 or so) malibu that is 100% dead, and it's a driveway ornament. Run it till it dies...which won't be too long.

(Ford is of course still #1 to me. I've seen Fords take abuse and neglect that makes me think the owners are trying to kill them, and they still keep on going.)
