What does it take to swap out my brakes for a newer models? I have an 01 with brake issues and was wondering what would have to be changed in order to do it? Thanks Marsha

actually the only thing is the Caliper numbers...

I just installed 2001 calipers on my 03....

Marsha,

Here's a link to a project on convering rear drums to discs:

I think I am getting some indication of wear on my rear brakes but the biggest thing is when I depress the brake pedal it sounds like a creaking noise, similar to a bushing being compressed. Its mostly at slower speeds but I dont really get on my Trac to have to stop quickly either. I drive it like its a stick, easy up to stops etc. Someone thought it may be rear brakes and someone else thought it might be master cylinder and boot. What ever that means. I have never had this many brake issues for the amount of miles as I have had with this one. Not use to having to put brakes on anything let alone twice already. AHHHHH
