When I back out of a parking spot and stop to turn the wheel the opposite way, my steering wheel shakes a little. It only happens when I turn the steering wheel when I am at a complete stop. I think it's just the rubber rubbing the ground but not sure. Any ideas?

Thanks

There was a TSB on this.... its called steering Shutter..... The pump at the low RPM and load of turning shutters and cant handle the manuver......

There are a 2 fixes....

Install a .5 inch shorter belt to prevent it from slipping and or replace the pump with the TSB pump.

Or just live with it...

I've always thought you should never turn the wheels while not moving.

Hugh, that might have been so before modern day power rack and pinion.

I always looked at it as a myth. Kinda of like my dad told me never have your foot on the brake when turning...LOL
