Anyone have a good recommendation for vinyl dye? I want to dye some panels black. I want the finish to be around factory, not super glossy, but maybe just a hint of gloss. I really don't want that fake/dangerous high-gloss look, more flat then anything. Doesn't matter if its spray, rub on, or what, all panels are removed from the vehicle.

I have had luck with the dyes from stores like ACmoore, Joannes , Michaels, OR any arts and crafts store..

VHT so far is the best Dye i have ever worked with, just remember the key

is the Prep no matter which Dye you decide to go with.

That's about the look I want, Rich. Good to see pictures so I know what the outcome will be. How's the coverage with it? I'm going to be doing a lot of dyeing with the stuff.

I used VHT when I had the pillar gauges. The tan came out much better than I thought it would. It looked almost stock.

the seats took about 2 cans each because i went with 3 coats

the door panels about 1-3/4 cans for the pair. the Dye

covers really well and most things can be done in 2 coats i tack coat

then one cover coat.

over all im really happy with it.
