Morning everyone,



Does anyone know the ratings of an 03 XLT stock Alternator?



I'm looking to upgrade it...

Though I don't know the actual numbers, I can tell you that the standard 4-door Explorer is a higher amperage alternator and is a direct fit.



There is a TSB for Tracs in cold environments, the are installing the standard 4-door alternator to stop the noise the Trac alternator makes when cold and under a load.

The ST alternator is rated at 130 Amperes.

What's the amperage on the upgraded alternator? I've searched for it on Kragen, AutoZone, and Summit Racing and only found one that has 135 amps which was on Summit Racings site. Could you supply more information, please?
