Update nav maps

Whats the best way to update the maps on the factory navigation (2010 sta)

Iv saw a site with a price of 199.99 for a dvd but thats way too much when i can accomplish the same thing for free with my phone..

That is the going rate for in dash navigation and OEM does run on the high end. One like Pioneer and such go for 100 to 200.

Someone may offer you a copy of a disk, but that would be illegal and a copyright violation.

so when the dealer says he updates all your software - that is not related to the nav?

I think Bob C or some one had a coupon or something..... but yes thats why i don't buy factory Ford navs.... they suck to update...

I got a one time deal. The system is set up to use disc's from Navteq only. And as per an agreement from Ford, $199 is the price you have to pay.

Now LaRue said to check ebay. This is true, but you most likely will not get the absolutely most recent update. I think Ford is now up to 11P version. If you don't mind one that is a year or so old, go with ebay. Bob
