I'm not wanting to burst anyone's bubble, but I was under the distinct impression that parts for the ealier 4.0L engine were nowhere close to compatible with the 4.0L SOHC engine, which I beleive was introduced in 1997?
I know in the early days of this site, people were claiming parts were available for the 4.0L, only to find that they did not fit the 4.0L SOHC that's in the Sport Trac's.
Great if the parts fit, but just because they list the 4.0L does not mean it will fit the 4.0L SOHC.
