No sense in saying anything, Tom, because as BB says, you will get the last word anyway.

Saw a new Flex up close yesterday. Another bold move. Seems like Ford will save the company with that one...Yeah!

The Flex is stupid. Typical big mentality. Funny thing is that Toyota's sales are down over last year.

Nissan and Honda have been looking upwards.

Did you know that?

Tom

Yeah, Toyota sales are down, so are Ford's and Nissans....or so I remember from the beginning of the year.

Honda and GM were the only car makers of any size that had increased sales. Again, this is from memory, and goes back to the beginning of the year.

Nobody is out there burning up the streets in terms of sales, though. Heck, a local seller here in my area has a BOGO (buy one, get one) sale. Buy a new Suburban and get a new Aveo free.

TJR

Kia dealers have been offering that over the past 5 years. Buy a Kia Sorenta and get a Rio for free. The dealer could not move the cars.

Tom

tom,

your quote of hopefully i will leave here soon.

probably not, remeber "i am in bed with admin"

if you are pro ford, why do you bash the flex and edge. you claim this is a ford website, so as a fleet admin with ford and other manufacture experience, i know you are talking out your a..

not ford bashing, just bringing up the truth.

MAYBE YOU CAN'T HAHNDLE THE TRUTH :)

Nobody said you were in bed with the Admin.

Simply put, you say Toyota is better than Ford. I say it isn't. Your proof is about as good as mine. I can say I drive a car with 354,000 miles on it. Can you? I have personally seen a Ford Truck go over 400,000 miles. The owner would dump the used engine oil into the fuel tank and would run it on that.

How many Toyota's have you personally seen with over 300,000 miles on them.

I havent seen one Toyota with that many miles on it.

This is a Ford website. This is for people that like Fords. Respect it.

Tom

respect.

i always do.

but your silly i live in my world attitude, is not reality.

again , you are having trouble with this

Yours is reality?

You can say how your costs went down. Yea, that is what you say. That is what you say. That is all you have. That is what you say.

I say Ford makes one hell of a vehicle and I drive them harder than most do.

You do not drive your company vehicles hundreds of thousands of miles with your fleet sales. You do not drive them untill they fall apart. You look at short term.

I drive my vehicles for 10 plus years. I drive them until they give up. 100,000 miles, 150,000 miles, 200,000 miles, sometimes more. I look at longevity.

Then again, that is what I say. Just like you say Toyota is better.

Your proof is as reliable as mine is.

This is a Ford website and more people care about Ford than they do Toyota here. Running your mouth about how great Toyota does nothing but make you look like an @$$. This is virtual Ford country.

Tom

tom,

my experience with different manufactures is 300,0000 miles more than yours.

i guess the rest of the world must be stupid as well since the numbers tell the story.

running your mouth with your closed mind is making you look like the a..

btw, check your memory. on 6/26/08, 21:36pm, you state that "he is also buddies with the owners". a statement you made about me being on this website. so you deny that you said i am in bed with the admins!

How many Toyota's have you personally seen with over 300,000 miles on them. I havent seen one Toyota with that many miles on it.

Personally, I have never seen any vehicle with that many miles, but I believe those that say they exist.

This is a Ford website. This is for people that like Fords.

Here I thought it was a Sport Trac site, as in myspporttrac, not myfordsporttrac...

In my family there is a Ford (T-Bird), Chevy (Corvette), Toyota (FJ Cruiser) and a Jeep (JK-4-door). They all serve a purpose and when purchased, the vehicle was purchased, not the manufacturer.

Frankly, if I had as many problems with a vehicle as Gary did, I would trade it also. Ford knows the problem exists, yet neither the dealer, nor the manufacturer is providing good customer satisfaction.

"he is also buddies with the owners"

That is correct, I did say that.

I never said you were in bed with the owners. A play on words, maybe. Different context that can be insulting, yes.

Being friends with someone is one this, being in bed (Figurativly) is another.

Frankly, if I had as many problems with a vehicle as Gary did, I would trade it also.

If Gary had that many problems, everybody should? I know a woman that owned an Escort. She complained about what a POS it was. Spoke to her friends about it and they said the problem was her and not the car. She got a Toyota and said she is going to baby her cars now. Guess what, she quit having trouble.

Was the problem her or the vehicle?

I do not have the problems Gary has. Could it be the driver?

Tom

tom,

your reference was intended that i could not get banned as i am buddies with the owners.

as far as problems, yes it is me only that has a transmission issue, warm a/c, popping noise from the crap plastic "chrome" wheel and premature tire wear. yup, me only.

just got back from the toyota dealer. what colour should i go for. the shadow mica, galactic gray mica or black? also should i go with the sport or limited trim?. the only downside to the sport is no leather available.

since you are an expert on everything, i appreciate your input.

Well... good luck!

The way the economy is heading mixed withworld affairs.. the last thing I would be doing in buying a new car right now.

Hold on to your cash... it's gonna get bumpy!

Enjoy the new Toyota! :)

josh,

thanks , still have the tundra?

i am not buying a new one. it would be a replacement for my trac that is my company issued vehicle.

gary you are the toyota expert you know all about toyotas and everything about them you should know all there is to know leather on a toyota is better than leather on a cow if only cows were made out of toyota leather everything would be great toyota moving foreward that would be awesome if only toyota buit everything in the world there would be peace on earth and everyone would be as happy as everyone at toyota is toyota moving foreward toyota rules we love toyota tom loves toyota we all love toyota all praise toyota tom

NEVER SATISFIED !!

tom,

i am throwing out my superman shirt and replacing it with a toyota shirt. then i will be able to solve the world's problems.

and yes, "never satisfied" as i am always looking to better myself in life. unlike yourself, stuck in your little world. :p

and yes, "never satisfied" as i am always looking to better myself in life. unlike yourself, stuck in your little world. :p

Actually, I have achieved what I wanted in life. I got a great wife, a wonderful dog, great vehicles, good job. There is no need to try to improve my life.

The secret to life is not getting what you want, it is wanting what you got.

Tom

sure, the good ole union mentality. don't set goals, don't try to achieve, don't better yourself.

That is right. Use the American dream. Keep working and never be satisfied with what you want in life. Work for every possible thing you can get your hands on. When yu are dead, the last thing you say is "I just wish I could spend another day at work'.

Give me a break.

I have everything I ever wanted in life. I have been successful in everything I wanted in life. Nothing is out of my reach. I can own any vehicle I want to own. I can live in any home I want to live in. I am satisfied with my life. I like myself as a person. I am happy with who I am.

I am not grasping for more and more. I have nothing I need to satisfy my desires with.

Some people work thier lives for happiness and in the end, they never truly find it. They use material things to fulfill what is missing in life. Some people find themselves with everything in life and are not happy.

I am not one of those people. It is not about what I have. It is about being content with what I was able to achieve.

I really feel sorry for you.

Tom
