Hey guys. When I got my new to me 07 Sport Trac both tonneau cover lock covers were damaged and leaking. Anyone know a source for new or used ones? Anyone have or seen a busted/wrecked ST with a cover that I might be able to purchase the lock covers off of? Thanks.

I just order parts for my bed cover from Ford Parts Direct. Enter your VIN and you can find everything you need. My parts came through my local Ford dealer within a few days.

I've had more issues with adhesive failures on my tonneau cover than with the parts themselves. The first part to come loose was one of the elastic tie down straps. Then the silly velcro strips holding the fluorescent safety releases came loose letting them hang down and catching on everything I try to slide into the bed. Next was the weatherstrip seal around the perimeter. The only part that I actually need to replace is the rubber seal at the center piano hinge. Epoxy or superglue takes care of the rest.

I hate to say this but even though that price is steep, they have them and you don't. I held of paying a lot for rear OEM molded mudflaps because they were $55.00 for a pair when I only needed the passenger side. I never could find any elsewhere so I wanted to order them from a Dealer now and I can't find them anymore. I drive around with one missing. Bugs the crap out of me and I kick myself in the A** now.

It's very unlikely that you'll ever find one in a salvage yard.

If you live by the theory of paying a high price for something because they have it and you don't, then I would hate to see what you paid for your truck. LOL. Everything can be found at a good price. Found them locally today for $63. Got the tailgate moulding (cap) for $53 as opposed to Ford's $76. Waiting it out is worth every second in gold. Wish it was as simple as just sealing them. Both have been used as handles and ripped up pretty good. No worries though.

they are like gold.... Some one did 3d PRINT plastic ones on the Face book Forum....
