I have an EE air dam, rear wind deflector, and a hood scoop, all of which are plastic(abs)and very smooth. Similarly, like when I painted my gray cladding, I used an adhesion promoter followed by paint. Do I need to use a primer (after scuffing and promoter) on these pieces or can I go straight to paint like on all other plastic pieces. I'm not looking to skip a step, but I'm thinking that using a primer would be redundant as I'll be putting enouph base coat on to make up the mil difference. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mike

I never prime after the promoter........No need for it... The promoter is to bond the paint..
