Temperture Gage

was driving today and the check engine light came on. Checked the guages and the Temp. guage was not working, it was down at the bottom like when the engine is off. Does this sound like a sensor? I don't have a code reader so does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the problem?

Look on top of the T-stat housing, The sensor is located there..... Try wiggling the wires...



ALSO feel the top rad hose to see if it is warm, the T-stat could be stuck, but it sounds like a wiring issue or sender..
