Hey-

Has anyone ever installed a warning light to let them know that they left their tailgate open??? Since my bed cover prevents me from double checking to see if I left my tailgate open, I thought that this would be a great idea. Any ideas on how to wire it up? I figure on making it a standalone circuit with its own fuse.

We have discussed this many times, Simple and easy to do.... No one has done it....

Need power, ground, a light, and pin switch, or a modified door switch.....

Way harder on the Gen 2 to to do but the Gen 1 is easy

Well-

Thanks for the heads up. I will search around the posts for additional input. I am planing on gathering up the materials and knocking it out over either Thanksgiving or Christmas. I need to go to a junk yard and pull an actual factory warning light from a different model vehicle to give it a more factory feel. I am also considering somehow mounting the light within the gauge cluster. I am tired of double checking to see if I remembered to shut the stupid tailgate.....lol
