I bought a ST a few months ago, not new, and there seems to be a irritating rattle coming from the tail gate when I hit bumps in the road. It feels tight when opening aned closing and I've used some WD-40. Does anyone know if there are some kind of adjustments that can be made?

Check your tail lamps for looseness / broken screw threadholes.

Check your swaybar for worn end link bushings or loose end link nuts.

Check your spare tire to make sure it is cranked up all the way.

Thanks Nobleman, but it's coming from the tailgate itself. With the tailgate closed I grab the top and shake, it's the same exact sound I hear when I hit a bump while driving.

It's not the cable ends rattling is it? I know they have some spring clips on them that hold them in place. Just a thought. :)

Oue tailgates are removeable, look at the round part that slides like a hinge, kinda sorta. It should have a rubber or plastic busing in it. I think mine does (sorry I'm thinking off of the top of my head. If you open the tailgate at about a 45 degree angle you can lift it up and away from the truck.
