Still have high idle

Hey there,



I am still having the high idle issues. She idles at around 1300 rpm in park. Changed out the TPS , the MAF sensor also. Nothing worked. Changing the TPS made the ilde even higher. Can find no vacuum leak.

One question can a leaking valve cover cause the idle to be higher.?



Any other thoughts that might help.... This one is stumping me and really annoying.

Did you clean the throttle body Eddie suggested in your previous post?

Yes sir ,



Cleaned the IAC , changed it. My throttle body was scrubbed clean and has no carbon anywhere on it.

Did you set the voltage on the TPS to less than 1vdc??



How did you test for vacuum leaks??



When you clened the TB did you make sure the throttle blade was completely closed. When in the idle mode. Generaly there should be no gap when closed. The IAC does the idle.

Vacuum leak somewhere. High mileage>? Check for worn throttle shaft bushings- these can allow a lot of air in.
