The spark plug changing project says to gap them (.052-.056), but the workshop manual says to gap them (.061-.068). I have an '01 Job 2 ST which I understand to be closer to an '02 ST. Which spark plug gap is correct for my ST? Also, I am changing to Autolite XP (XP-103) plugs. Thank you.

Whats the sticker under your hood say ????

Thats what I use

Spark Plug Gap? (Motorcraft AGSF22PP/Autolite APP103) by swshawaii, 1/21/2011 14:11 ET

Due for the ST's first spark plug change @ 59K.

2005 Owners Manual specs .052-.056 gap.

2005 Ford Workshop Manual shows .061-.068

Torque listed at 13 lb/ft. Does a torque wrench fit #2 and #3?

Any reason for the gap variance? Want to do this right. Thanks.

Under hood sticker reads:

Adjustments:

Spark Plug Gap: See Spec Book

No Other Adjustments Needed

I just followed Todd's recommended .054-.056

Thanks man. Couldn't find my gap checker, gotta go fetch another one, so wanted to make sure I get one that can measure in it's size range.

Did some pokin' around here too and another genlteman recommended getting plug wire boot pulling tool thing to help-out with yankin' the plug wires off.
