Well... I know many have had problems with the tranny, from flares and slipping, to just total failure... But I'm having a problem that I haven't heard anyone talk about yet...

Started about a month ago now... Whenever I do a cold start on the ST.. (Meaning the first time driving of the day, or getting off work...) And I shift the trac from park to Drive OR reverse... I'm hearing a REALLY NASTY "CREEK" under the track coming from it when it shifts from park to drive, or to reverse... But then as I drive it, and the transmission oil warms up, the sound goes away when I stop at my destination and shift it back to park...

During my driving, I hear no bad noises, no problems in shifting, nothing...

I'm glad I have it under extended warranty, but I've got a cross country drive here in 2 weeks... Someone got some advice?

Sounds like rear spring noise, A mount, OR the drive shaft yolk may need lube..

Believe it or not It could be the rear sway bar end links...

I agree with Todd. Probably something totally unrelated to the transmission since it shifts so smoothly while driving.
