SOFT BRAKES

HELLO ALL HAD CERAMIC BRAKES PUT ON 2 weeks ago, so far no squeals like the semi mettalic but don't seems to have a firm stopping power. it seems alot of owners complain about the brakes being undersized for the earlier model sport tracs any input would be helpful

I just put on Ceramics and I feel that they are a little softer than the pads that were on before that. Don't know if its because they are ceramic or for other reasons. Maybe someone else knows...

I have akebono ceramics and powerslot rotors on my 01' with 20" wheels. It stops better with this setup than it did with the factory. The rotors are worth it!

did they bleed the system, Change the fluid ? Ceramics are harder and firmer, Maybe you feel the rubber brake hoses flexing a little..



Did the brakes get bedded properly ??

Do you have rear disc brakes or are they drum??
