shifting

I just recently bought a 2007 Sport Track and I have 2 issues I'm hoping someone can help. 1- It does a "hard shift " from 1st to 2nd gear, should I be worried? 2- When I put it in 4-wheel low, the little led on that button blinks but doesn't show I'm in low on my dash board, is something wrong ?.... Thanks!

V6 or V8?? They have differnt transmisions. Finnish your profile so we can help...

The 4Low ------



you MUST go into 4 high first..... Then STOP the truck, Place it in N, foot on brake, then push the 4wd Low button........Magic happens then.



Also yes if its banging, you can reset it by disconnecting the NEG battery cable ONLY, let it sit for a half hour, then re connect,

TRUCK MUST BE WARM !!!!

1) LET the truck idle for 2 min

2) PUT on AC and let idle for another 2 min

3) Drive REAL SLOW rpms NOT over 2K, and go to 45 MPH then stop 3 times.



Then slowly drive to highway speed and it can re learn.



if NOT check fluid level or change fluid.

How many miles on your Trac? You probably don't have any service history on it, so if it were me I'd be servicing the driveline fluids - transmission, transfer case and differentials.
