SCT Xcal does it shorten the life of the transmission?

Just wondering since the transmission seems to be a weak link sometimes.

I would say no.

I also say it LENGTHENS the life with lower slip times and crisp and clean shifts lowers temps and runs it cooler..

Ditto on Todd..The truth is the softer an auto trans shifts. Means more clutch wear. Slippage always creates more heat. Same if you use a higher stall torque converter. You need to install or upgrade the trans cooler. The slippage inthe converter creates hotter fluid.
