I think it's also suspicious that the vehicle is located in Canada, but it appears on Craigs List in numerous US cities??? At that price it should have sold in Canada within the first 24 hours, so why is it still for sale and why is it not selling in Canada?

This is what scams are. This isn't a real vehicle for sale.

Gee, do you really think so??? What made you suspicious? Everything the seller said made me suspicious? I was pointing out that the seller is trying to sell it in the US with all the paperwork hassles and shipping, when the vehicle (if it actually exists) would have easily sold for $11,500 or more in Canada. That should be enough to make anyone suspicious that this is a scam.

Surely someone here can run a CarFax on the vehicle's VIN and find out more about where the vehicle is (If it is a valid VIN) and perhaps someone could even find out where it's registered and in who's name?

I would be very suprised if the seller contacts Red Rush again because I think he tipped his hand about not trusting shipping companies, and that he want to see the vehicle. The seller know's he is supicious and will just ignore anymore questions.

I responded also out of curiosity.. it's BS! They are trying to get you to send them money to hold it for you!

I'll bet the vehicle is still for sale, or will be reposted on Craigslist. If someone else contacts the seller they will probably get a different story from the seller, or the vehicle will be somewhere else in Canada, and if you ask too many questions, the seller will stop responding.
