Route gauge wire through firewall

I tried to mount my water gauge Saturday morning but dumb sh** me wasn't samrt enough to look in the engine compartment first to see how hard it would be to run the sensor wire to the radiator hose.



Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I don't have a garage - working in my driveway so limited somewhat in what I'm able to do.

Look to the LEFT of the gas pedal. There is a rubber grommet with a cable going through it, Poke a hole IN that, run it there...

It comes out under the brake booster under the hood..
